Payday Treat - Ray-ban Clubmasters

Tuesday, 9 April 2013

I've wanted a pair of Ray-Bans for around 3/4 years now but I've never really been in the position to purchase a pair. With having my part time job at Asda now I've got a bit of money coming each month so this payday I decided to treat myself to a pair! Admittedly I've already had them on a few times although it's not exactly sunglasses weather. I'm going to Rome in July so I really bought them in preparation for then... I'm so excited! With having a round face I find that these are the only style that suit me. What do youse think about Ray-Bans? Are they worth the money or not?!

Along Came Betty Detox Mask Pure Pores Tesco Review

I nipped into Tesco yesterday to pick up a few bits and bobs and took my usual detour down the beauty aisles. Whilst having a wander about I found a new range of beauty products that looked familiar to the soap and glory range. Being a big fan of the 40's and 50's anything along 'retro' appeals to me so I had a quick look. I saw the Pure Pores 15 Minute Detox mask and thought I'd give it a go as I really struggle with black heads on my nose and chin.
The product claims that it's a 'sun kissing super detox magician' that helps target greasy spot prone areas and purifies your t-zone. You can leave it on for 5 minutes for a quick detox but a full 15 minutes is recommended for a deep cleanse. I applied the mask, did a quick 15 minute burst of revision then washed it off before jumping in the bath. The product tells you to massage into the face until the small beads have disolved, I found that when using the product there didn't seem to be many beads in the product and wasn't as exfoliating as what I'd typically expect from a product of this sort.
When I got out of the bath I could only explain as what I seen on my face as 'domes'. Where my blackheads had been on my nose/chin there was now clear looking bubbles, which when squeezed emptied black heads in one go and left me with empty pores! I was totally amazed!!! For the price of the product (£4.99) I did not expect such amazing results. I'm going to go back into Tesco at some point this week and pick up some other products out of the range (I'm thinking the hot cloth cleanser) I really could not recommend this product enough. Most definitely will repurchase! Have any of you tried it? Whats your opinion?! Or have you tried something else from the range?

This morning my mam told me that she had £25 on her beauty card and that I was allowed to use them (yay)! So I went into town and picked up this lipstick, I've been wanting this particular one for a long time now but the last two times I went into Debenhams it's been out of stock! I got the 'Rogue Volupte 1 Beige Charnel' I didn't try it on today as I didn't have my makeup done (I'm poorly) but I've tried it on in the past and I'm super excited to do my makeup tomorrow now. This lipstick is just perfect for me, I personally believe that I don't suit darker colours due to naturally being so pale and having extremely light hair. I just think dark tones look too harsh on me. It's the perfect beige with a nice pink undertone to it (which I love!!) The formula itself is very rich and creamy and doesn't dry my lips out which is very useful as I do struggle with dry/chapped lips. It's got an amazing pigment to it and you don't have to apply too much to get a lovely allover colour. It still remains opaque despite the fact the formula itself is so light and creamy. All over I just adore it and I will be buying again and I'll be looking into some over shades to purchase too!
I also got a sample pot of the Estee Lauder Double Wear to try, I've heard such good reviews so I can't wait to try it out.

I also used my Chanel bag today, I hardly ever use it as I'm always worried people will look at me and think "that's fake', I'm starting to overcome this fear though as it's clearly too beautiful to sit locked up in a wardrobe! It's the Cambon Reporter bag.
