Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm Review

Wednesday, 23 April 2014

There's few things I love more than a good cleanser, nothing quite compares to that squeaky clean feeling after you've washed it off and the daily grime has gone. After using Liz Earle's cleanse and polish for around a year now and decided it's time to see what else is out there. After seeing Tanya Burr talk about this on her YouTube channel I decided to give it a go!
When opening the tub my first impressions were that the formula looks, and feels, like fat? Scoop out a small section and it melts in the warmth of your fingertips and massage all over the face. When you begin to rinse with warm water it melts away and turns a milky colour. The balm is un-fragranced, which I'm sure many people will love but for me it's a downside of it.
The balm is incredible at removing all traces of makeup. Due to it being so gentle there's no problems with applying it to your eyes and it removes all traces of your eye makeup also. I was a bit sceptical about using this product with my oily skin but it doesn't leave me feeling 'greasy' after use! Overall I'd recommend it, will it replace my beloved cleanse and polish?
