The Drugstore Edit

Wednesday, 17 February 2016
About a month ago now I decided to try out some new bits from Superdrug, now don't get me wrong I'm in no way a makeup 'snob' but I don't tend to pick up drug store products much. Here I'm doing a round up of my top picks that I found!
Maybelline Brow Drama I've never ventured into the world of brow gels before but thought I'd give this one a go to keep those few unruly hairs in order! Seeming as I'm quite happy with using my mac Omega with a 217 angled brush to do my brows as it is I decided to just get the clear gel to keep them in place instead of a coloured option. I've seen people complain about the ball at the end of the sculpting brush but I've found it perfect for distributing the product evenly. I'm really impressed with it, I'll definitely repurchase and can't see what more the MAC version could offer for the extra money.
Maybelline The Eye Eraser Concealer A product I've seen hyped up for ages on the blogosphere now. When I ran out of my beloved Nars creamy concealer last month and couldn't quite afford to replace it I thought I'd give this a go instead. A nice and light texture it's great for not creasing, blending into the skin easily. My favourite part of this concealer is the foam applicator at the end of the tube, every lazy girls dream. It's quite a light coverage I'll only be using it for light day time makeup. A really good cheap concealer but alas no match for my Nars.
Loreal Infallible Mattifying Base And lastly my favourite piece that I picked up! This is seriously the best primer I've used in my life and I've tried a lot. I've always struggled with finding a good primer until now, I've tried Laura Mercier to Smashbox and hated them all. A light weight silicone primer it leaves you with a brilliant mattifying look. I apply to my t-zone and cheeks and it glides over my pores seamlessly. My makeup usually tends to start wearing off around my nose after as soon as 1 hour leaving me with that horrendous oily line across my nose. With this primer applied it will only start to go oily after around 3 hours with a noticeably less amount!

  2. I haven't tried the Brow drama as I don't think they've released it here. I really want to try the L'Oreal infallible primer though, I've read a lot of good about it. I quite liked the Maybelline Concealer, I might actually repurchase it!

  3. I love the maybelline eraser eye but then again I've not tried the NARs one which you love so I cannot tell if there's a comparison!

  5. The two Maybelline products are my go to and almost have holy grail status for me. Browdrama makes doing my brows (I use a tinted one) so quick and easy its great for mornings when I'm running late.

  7. I am not a big fan of the Maybelline brow drama. If you want something nice try the Loreal ones! They are much better :)
